    Dreamweaver MX 2004 Update

This was as a result of a legal dispute with Adobe (Macromedia infringed on Adobes' palette system)... thus the change. Don't know if you can change it back in 2004 though.

    Web Dev IDE?

GoLive is almost as good (read bad) as Dreamweaver :D . Much the same really. Bloated, yet useful if you don't want to get your hands too dirty with the code. It's integration with other Adobe products is fantastic, as Dreamweaver is with other Macromedia products. I've always liked GoLive...

    Web Dev IDE?

We've had a few occasional threads concerning this. My preference is for BBEdit (full version, not Lite... which is still good for free, but lacks the all important eyesight saving code-colouring). In fact, BBEdit is really all I use. For XHTML, CSS, PHP; pretty much most code that I need...

iPod used as a murder weapon

Not sure I'd want to feel it! Apple could deploy Apple iSurgeons™.

iPod used as a murder weapon

Does raise questions about the future of the iPod, maybe the writer was expressing an idea of surgically implanted iPods? Don't know where you'd locate that jog-wheel though... oooh  ::angel::

    Donation Slowdown

Not if it's Apple's exchange rate ;) True though, that thing has been stuck on 62% (or near enough) for a long time. Maybe a 50¢ (26p... whatever currency) fee when Apple release those Powerbook G5's ::angel:: :D

    Apple refuses French MP3 tax

If it's similar to a VAT payment, Apple claim the payment from the customer in the price, and pass it on to the government more than likely every quarter. Hence, easy to not pay if they so desire. As for 'sticking it to the French' kanecorp, we Europeans already get it 'stuck to us' :mad...

Well I thought I had PHP installed correctly?!?

Which sytem? 10.2, 10.3? The system's sendmail facility may not be correctly configured (I think this will be the case if you're using 10.2). Checkout http://www.macdevcenter.com/pub/a/mac/2002/09/10/sendmail.html if you are running 10.2 (Jaguar). It was an infamous problem when Jaguar came out...

Scrollbars in IE for Mac act weird.....

Only get vertical scrollbars in IE for Mac (OS X) and all other browsers. Can't recreate the problem. Your using frames... maybe look into iframes. They're a lot more robust.

    gay marriage

Amen to that... doh! er... agreed! Or to put it another way, the theme of this thread: people trying to get their own subjective views across in the guise of objective ones, and since there's no such thing as an objective view, we might as well all retire and enter a world of solipsism right...

    fat kids...

He can be an even worse influence if your listening to him on your iPod! Anyway, if you haven't read Fast Food Nation yet, I'd urge you to get a copy. Not the ground shaking exposé that the publishers lead you to believe but a good insight into the industry and it's history.
