Tell me the IP addresses of computer & printer. Since you are behind a router, they both need to be in the same subnet - which means: the first 3 parts of the IP address need to be the same, like 192.168.1.3 and 192.168.1.21. Is it possible they aren't?

I would try IP printing to see if it is Bonjour (mDNS=Bonjour) that is messed up. You can probably find the print server IP address and queue name (=port name) by pressing a button on the print server.

What you want to do is called port forwarding. Read the router manual. You want to forward requests for port 80 (http) to the local IP address of your Mac. Then, external clients will connect to the web site via http://external_IP_address. HTH
