    Airport Won't Auto Login

Hey Richard. I see you're a WRT54G user as well. Have you seen the new third-party firmwares available recently? I am currently using Sveasoft's firmware and am astounded at the extra functionality it provides. Found out about it here. The thing I like most about it is that I can adjust to...

once trash emptied is it completely gone?

Assuming you've actually emptied the Trash, as the title suggests… sorry to say, but more than likely you're S.O.L. When working with "really important" files a good, reliable and frequent backup is worth the trouble… Again, sorry.

Keystroke to move files to trash?

Or even the "File" menu… But, uh… yeah. Command (Apple) plus Delete will move files and folders to the Trash.

Is there a rush for yellow caps pepsi bottles ?

They've been very easy to find here. Actually found my first one last Wednesday or Thursday… wasn't a winner. Since then I have bought 4 more promo bottles… 3 of which were winners. :D

    Safari Not Working

Sure you could. Of course, it required the use of Pacifist. But it could be done.

    10.3.3 exceeds expectations...

WOW. OK. I wasn't doubting you. Just wasn't sure what you meant by the extremely vague, "Is networking fixed?" query. I never said there wasn't anything wrong with Panther's networking. Nor did I say it was better. Just was wondering what aspect(s) you were having issues with. Let's say...

    10.3.3 exceeds expectations...

Err… uh… Could you be more specific? i.e.: Windows interoperability? FTP via Finder? Browsing the network via the "Network" item in the Finder? Because "Networking", as it were, in Mac OS X has worked fine for me from day one…

No, 10.3.3 is NOT on Software Update. I was replying to disinvent, who asked if anyone else was getting errors in Software Update.

    Mac OS X 10.3.3 (7F24) and Safari 1.2 Seeded

Hmm, Safari seems to be playing nice processor-wise now. Weird. Yeah, It would be nice to get the download speed back in the download manager (it was there in 1.1.1, right? I'm not imagining this?) No problems yet. I can't say I've noticed any improvements system-wise… then again I wasn't...

Seems faster, but I've never used Firebird so I can't comment on that aspect.

Finally found the world's biggest idiot! (PC'ing his G5...)

I think he really did that, then when he got all the emails pointing out how utterly stupid he was, he decided to "come clean". Either way, he's a complete tool.

    Mac OS X 10.3.3 (7F24) and Safari 1.2 Seeded

Running 10.3.3/Safari 1.2 on a PowerBook G4 Titanium 667 Comments… well, Safari is using about 80% CPU while sitting idle with 2 tabs open. So, some work needs to be done there. The download manager has been improved. It gives you an estimated time remaining. If you cancel a download, it...
