Google Earth is now available for Mac!

I think that, at least to some degree, the resolution is going to vary depending on city size both within and outside the U.S. The city of 70k+ that I live in shows up with pretty good detail. The city of 800 that I grew up in, I see blurry green things that I think are supposed to be trees.

Google Earth is now available for Mac!

I didn't even realize there WAS a version on the net until I called my brother to tell him about the download and he said that's what he had been using. I mainly use Google Earth at work (no, really, FOR work, legitimately), and we have Windows, so I haven't really NEEDED Google Earth for Mac...

Google Earth is now available for Mac!

WooHoo. I don't know if this is the right forum for this; if it isn't, could a mod move it? Does this forum support that? I didn't notice the announcement in any other forums, did a search and everything, but if it is a duplicate, feel free to delete. Anyhow, as the topic indicated...

Relatively new Mac user with question about MacBook Pro v. Powerbook v. iBook

I was meaning more as far as its monetary resale worth. You are not the first person to suggest waiting to see what problems the Intel Mac might have before buying. I tend to be of the same mind. With any new product, there is the possibility of bugs that didn't show up in the testing...

Relatively new Mac user with question about MacBook Pro v. Powerbook v. iBook

I am probably jumping the gun a little here, but I will go ahead anyhow in case I can make a decision right now. At the beginning of October (2005), I told my brother that as an early Christmas present I would buy him a new laptop, within my price range of course, on the condition that he would...

Booting from a dmg OR maybe from a home network?

Blech. It is an older iBook, G3. I upgraded my brother to a G4 and took this, because I don't really need anything fancier. I have since found though, that I can't do diddly with it, because everything boots from a flippin' CD. I haven't found a CD drive on apple's website yet either. :-(

Booting from a dmg OR maybe from a home network?

My quandry is thus. I am the not proud but rather quite frustrated owner of an iBook with a broken CD drive. I am also the owner of a DMG file. Normally, of course, this file would be burned to a CD and thencely secured in the computer's CD drive for no-fuss no-muss bootup. Alas, with my...
