    A six-step plan for Apple...

Nope, not my article, or even verbiage. But I will say it's an opposing view to many "patron" here... and before the typical responses of "people have been saying that Apple's been going out of business for years" or "this doesn't fit into Apple's culture" (reminder: most here "bought" into...

Will the mobile phone kill the iPod?

convergence of the PDA, phone, and mass media player has been very slow, and looks like it really won't happen, imho. I mean, I'd hate to have a hard drive in my phone as much as I drop that thing.

New iMacs in September FOR REAL

as much as I liked buying an iMac for my mother, I'd still love an interim solution between the iMacs and aluminum G5's. at this rate, I might just buy an xServe because I already like the screen I have. just have to get a mini-rack, rackmount my PC as well. hmmmm.

    Dashboard rips off Konfabulator

bah. if Microsoft did it, all of you would be up in arms. Face it. Apple did a bit of "stealing" here from an idea that wasn't original - in the scheme of things - but sure was original on the MacOSX platform. by some of the rationale in this thread, if MS does it - which they just might...

    Dashboard rips off Konfabulator

but they are competing with the people that support them on both sides of the fence. final cut pro/shake basically made Premiere an afterthought, Sherlock made Watson into an afterthought, Motion looks like it'll be taking on Combustion and Aftereffects head on, and this... well, they just...

    wwdc updates

not disappointing to me. I expected xcode updated to 1.5 - I saw 2.0. I expected to see some updates for the OS... I saw tiger. I expected to see some hardware... I saw some new monitors that are downright sexy. but the big one. 30". I got disappointed with it. it's 1k more than the top...

    Tiger screens (Dashboard, more)

so... no color iPods, yet dashboard is a reality. no other outrageous claims - dual 3ghz, mobile g5's, iBox, cellphone, pda, godzilla in a box. meh. a monitor that's 1k more than the top notch dually g5 and needs a 500.00 vid card to run it... tiger does look awesome though. very...

    What's left for WWDC?

be careful. being upset that 10.3.4 may pull out the flamers. they didn't like it when I was upset over how 10.3.4 broke my airport connectivity. just a warning.

Oracle 10g available on OTN !!!

It's not that a Dell 1U server is cheaper upfront, moreso than it's cheaper to add that Dell server into a previously all x86/Windows environment, it will be cheaper for them to stay Dell in the long-run due to not having to retrain their admin staff. The corporate probably just sees the...
