couldnt you just throw it all to the trash from os 9? You can get rid of all the crap it does to your harddrive with Norton Utilities after u emptied your trash. I did that before installing OS X 10.0.

Routing through your computer requires your computer to be on all the time if the other computers want the internet. I suggest you just get a cable router (or gateway) that supports the protocol that your cable uses. Depending on what kind you get, you may need a hub too.

How did you do the optimization by hand? I think mine did the same thing because when I came back to my computer after that long "optimization" I was at the login window, plus I really don't notice any difference on my 300 mhz g3

If you guys want an app switcher, just press command+option+esc it will stay infront of all your apps and you can dubble click on an app to switch to it. If an app ever crashes u can easyly force quit too!
