    Eminem to sue Apple?

Do you know where the one where he does The Real Slim Shady is? Like I've said many times before, that one was on the keynote, but to the best of my knowledge, never aired on TV. The one with the kid singing The Real Slim Shady was the one that was commercials.

    Eminem to sue Apple?

The rights of the song that WAS seen on tv, probably didn't belong to him directly.

    Eminem to sue Apple?

Whats also amusing is that the Lose Yourself ad was never aired. At least I never saw it. The one I saw on tv, had The Real Slim Shady. I remember seeing the little kid, and him singing that one over and over again, and thinking that the Lose Yourself was better. Did anyone ACTUALLY SEE the Lose...

    the keynotes......

i actually have quite a few Keynotes in Quicktime format, that an Apple employee gave me. Apple used to give employees CD's with them, in Quicktime format. But, as of Macworld NY 2002, they stopped with Quicktime, and started distributing them on DVD's.

    Napster's fading... fast

I loved the article. Especially where where Apple got HP to distribute iTunes instead of Crapster.

    Rhapsody "most popular" music service

Rhapsody IS the best Music "Service". Apple doesn't have a Music "Service", they have a Music "Store". "Service" implies reoccurring fees to maintain whats going on. Rhapsody has a better "Service" then Napster, and MusicNow. Rhapsody is owned by Real Networks. The address for the service is...

    CD-Text?

I want to use Toast 6 to burn CD's with CD-Text, and then rip them and have the ID3 tags be based on the CD-Text, so I can put the music on either Mac or Windows. Does anyone know of a program on either platform that supports CD-Text?

    Apple hardware update hold up?

Apple could be very well holding back for it to be ready, but there is no telling. I know that Apple and AMD are both extremely active in the constorium that is developing the Hypertransport technology. If that is the case though, I wouldn't expect anything from Apple for a couple more months at...

Windows Apps on OS X...minus Windows OS

Fryke is right. Wine has been in development for years, and it doesn't run well. In the Linux world, the best implemnetion of stuff is by Codeweavers, who has a special version of Wine that is able to run all of the Apps from Office, as well as Adobe Photoshop. They also have something that lets...

Paul Thurrott's math regarding mac marketshare

Mindbend has a point. I see almost as many Apple notebooks on campus, then I do PC's, yet, when you take into account the several hundred PC's that UTA just bought, that really makes the Mac using Students, seem insignificant. But the difference is, the people who actually chose to use the Mac...

Office 2004 will lack XML support with Office 2003

It is confirmed. In the link I put at the beginning of the topic. Office 2003 DOES change the default file formats structure. I am not sure if it uses the same .doc extention, but I am sure that it is based on XML. Macintosh Business Unit also said that they will only ship Office 2004 with...

Office 2004 will lack XML support with Office 2003

Mindbend, The point is not whether or not we will use the XML features that it brings, but that we are able to use the format. The entire file format structure in Office 2003 has been completely re-written in XML. What that means is, if someone who has 2003 sends you a documentm, without saving...

Office 2004 will lack XML support with Office 2003

Satcomer, thanks, I think it is outrageous. We need XML support for compatibility reasons. I probably won't ever use the features that XML brings, but the compatibility is ncessary for work.

Office 2004 will lack XML support with Office 2003

I'm a business major too, and have never had a problem with Excel. I may be wrong, but I think I have pasted tables from HTML tables into Excel. But, this isn't the right topic for this. This has to do about XML compatibility being missing.

Office 2004 will lack XML support with Office 2003

This is not a matter of WinOffice being superior to MacOffice or anything like that. I wanted to bring this to peoples attention, so we can all send stuff into the feedback page of Microsoft. I feel Office 2004 is going to be a great upgrade, but we also need compatibility. This is about...

Office 2004 will lack XML support with Office 2003

The compatability checker only checks compatability with versions of Office that have been previously released/ We need to get as many people to be behind this as possible. Get everyone you can to send in feedback. They said that the reason why the feature was left out was because of user...

Office 2004 will lack XML support with Office 2003

According to this article, Office 2004 does not have support for Microsoft Word's XML features. It will support Excel in XML though. Now, while this may sound trivial, this is a huge hinderance to work flow when working with classmates or co-workers. My school sells all Office upgrades for $5 a...

    Panther in Longhorn

I looked inside of it, and there are several files. One file says it's an EXE, but it shows up as an icon, and reacts as such when you double click on it. I was able to open one of the files, and found a bunch of gibberish, with the word Timezone or something like that in it. I will look at it...
