What was your favorite Apple II game

I used to play Sensei way too much (for the Apple IIGS). SpyHunter was great, as was Senseless Violence.

    Fink is Finking me off!

That's not actually true. Fink installs most things inside /sw, or where ever you tell it put your sw folder. However, things such as XFree86 are installed in the standard /usr/X11R6 folder, and XDarwin.app is installed in /Applications, since XFree86 pretty much requires that it get's put there.

    Net Services Menu

They appear to be related to iPhoto. I have no idea what it does, but it also only seems to appear in Carbon applications, which can't handle services yet. And iPhoto doesn't even seem to have a Services menu (at least on my computer).

    Microphone in the iMac TFT

There is a built-in microphone. However, I don't know where it is. And if you want an external microphone, you'll have to either get an 1/8" to USB adapter for an existing microphone, or get a USB microphone. It has no other audio in.

    Mozilla

I heard about it too, but couldn't find it for a while. It's in the preference window, under Advanced>Scripts & Windows. You can pick what you allow JavaScript to do, such as opening windows by themselves, bring windows to the front or back, or even to resize them. It's great. The tabbed...

    Mozilla

Also, if you go to the Preferences... choice under the Mozilla menu, and expand the Navigator option, there's a whole pane for preferences related to tabbed browsing. For example, I like having my tabs open up in the background, so that I can click on links while I'm reading and get to them...

    MMIA: members missing in action

Yeah, we had winter break, and so I didn't need any reason to distract myself from homework. The winter quarter has started up here, though, so I'll probably be posting a lot more.

    Fink is Finking me off!

You appear to be using dselect. I honestly don't know much about it, but I believe it downloads the precompiled versions of the programs, as opposed to compiling them on your computer (honestly, I don't know, I've never tried it). They recently accidently erased all of the precompiles, so that...

Damn! This site is fast... (under Windows)

The carbon version of Opera 5 was being worked on separately from the classic version, so that's the main reason. Hopefully, it does mean that the carbon version will be out soon. I'm not really too worried about not having Opera 6, either. I have it installed on my fiancee's PC, and there...

    ¿¿¿terminal Gamez???

What kind of games? If you install Fink, you can play Go or Backgammon in the terminal. You can also play old Infocom games in the terminal using Frotz (again installed with Fink.)

Apple will charge us for 10.2.

From now on that number should be consistent. From what I've read, Apple changed their numbering scheme with 10.1.1 to reflect their internal numbering scheme (and hence annoyed a few developers in the process), meaning it shouldn't change anymore. Plus, with each update they change the version...

    The new apple designs!

I love how the last iMac picture has a slot for CDs in the front, and yet the computer isn't think enough to accept a CD fully. Now that's quality design.

I found an EXTREME secret in OS X!!!

Yeah, I set LaunchBar to control-space also, since otherwise I wouldn't be able to type in Japanese. If you got what I think you got, then go to the Apple Menu, choose "System Preferences...", and then the International panel under Personal. Click on the "Keyboard Menu" tab, and click the...

I found an EXTREME secret in OS X!!!

That's the Japanese Character Input. If you have it enabled, you can switch keyboard inputs (unless you changed this option) by typing command-space.

    windows xp...you can't fly

He should also make sure to sit in the middle of a green field with his desktop background set to a picture of it, and then try to connect to a wireless network that doesn't exist because he's in the middle of nowhere. That's what they do in the commercials, at least.

anyone hear about apple and the IT?

I haven't heard about Apple investing money into Segway, but Steve Jobs is a big supporter of it, both financially and otherwise.
