Recently bought a Epson LQ-300 or something similar in a computer store, the clerk assuring me it works for Mac. I got it today, of course it doesn't work for Mac. I doubt the drivers is very much the problem, but I'll have a hard time trying to jam a Parallel / Serial cable into a USB port now...
Apparently it's impossible to connect to an OS X machine using Appletalk from a 9.2 machine. (using Ethernet).
Both machines are connected to the network,
have Appletalk installed and on.
The OS X machine also has Appletalk turned on in Directory Access.
I can see the Classic machine...
Yes, I'd post a question on how to adjust amount of colours in System Preferences :P
Also not that Mac OS X doesn't support anything lower than 256 colours?
I figured it out though, in Universal Access there's a function to completely screw up (or help for visually impaired people I guess) the...
When I boot my computer it looks fine, and as soon as Finder starts up it's all messed up ...
I get like 16 colours, if that. It's extremely annoying, I think I did some kind of combination, but the question is, how do I get it back?

Hey
2 Questions really
1) Is it possible to use AGP 8x cards in AGP 4x and 2x slots? Will this make my machine buggy or make it stop functioning at all?
2) Is it possible to install drivers for PC Video Cards or can I just plug them in? The problem is I need a new gcard and the Apple...
What can I use to program in Cobol on OS X? Atm I'm using Percobol (which compiles to Java and lets that run) on Windows but of course, I'd greatly appreciate being able to use a Mac at home ...
Are there drivers for the Apple ImageWriters (I & II) for Mac OS X? (Panther or Tiger, doesn't matter).
Help would be greatly and enormously appreciated!

If you have, let's say a Powermac Mirrored Drive Doors or any PM with both ATA 66 and ATA 100 cables ready, put one of the HDs on the ATA/100 and the other on the ATA/66. This should increase performance a bit.
That's worth trying again. I tried it with another HD that eventually ended up not working alltogether.
The X drive is the "Master" now and the 9 drive is "Slave" although they should both be set to Cable Select I used Master and Slave ... Because, basically it was the first I tried after a...
There are two drives in the machine. The standard 120Gb one that came with the machine has X on it and the 9 drivers not installed. And the 40g one from my former Powermac, which is completely empty, been formatted over and over, and every time with the drivers for Mac OS 9 installed.
Booting...
It's a full retail CD of Mac OS 9.2.1. Neither Disk First Aid or Drive Set up or anything works. When booted in Mac OS 9.2.1, it doesn't physically recognize there is _anything_ in the slots. To reboot in X I have to open the machine, disconnect the ATA/33 cable of the CD drive so it'll just...
Why would a Mac OS 9.2.1 not see a Mac OS Extended formatted HD (with the Classic drivers installed) in a Powermac MDD and without problems in a Powermac AGP Graphics?
Edit: It boots perfectly, although a touch slow, from the Mac OS 9.2.1 CD. It just doesn't recognize any of the HDs. Is this...
Depends, average lifespan of a Li-Ion battery is 1,5 - 2 years. Most break down after that, like mine did. It happened overnight from me, to unacceptably short lifespan of an hour to none. At all ... I'd say it's time for a new one sadly enough ...
