well it works when i drag it to my desktop then to iTunes. just a few times i've had troble with upside down cover images. strange, eh?

anyone have any trouble with certain album covers being imported upside down in iTunes 4? i dragged and dropped a couple of CD covers from amazon.com to iTunes 4 (via safari) and it imported the images upside down. strange.....

i've been holding off on getting a powermac because of this. i wonder how much they're going to cost? any ideas if they're going to cost roughly the same, or are they going to be more/less expensive than the current g4's to make? i'd assume they'll be expensive at first, but once supplies...

i got a poster and a t-shirt, and one of the last 15 gig iPods. the place (atlanta) was so crowded, the guy that helped me said the store was swamped all day long. hope that translates into lots of $$ for apple :) oh, and the new iPods are amazing.

anyone get theirs yet? i'm going to my local apple store tonight at 7ish and if they have any iPods left i'm gonna buy the 15 gigger. if not, i'll just order one from the website. i didn't have enough cash around earlier this week for one. ;)

so far i'm pleased with the service, although i guess i'm kind of old school, or just like to have a physical copy of albums still. i'll probablly buy a lot of singles off the service, but i don't think i'll be buying any full albums anytime soon.

i read somewhere, and don't quote me on this, that there may be a 2.0 release further down the road for the older iPods... once again, i don't remember where i saw this tidbit, but they said apple may have gotten behind on the new software, and put out a 1.3 release for now.... and plan on...

i'm gonna go down to my local apple store friday afternoon and if they have any in stock to buy, i will buy them there. if not, i will place my order online and just wait till they ship them. :)

sounds like a bit of speculation on the author's part... but it could very well happen. before the iTunes music service, i would have said no way in hell there would ever be iTunes on the PC side of the world. but it makes a lot of sense now... if they have to make software for their service...

anyone else getting this error: every time i add my credit card info to the music store, and go to verify which county i live in, i get the same error (we're talking like 20 times over the past couple of hours...) "the music store could not process your request, please try again later."...

i kind of like it. they seem to just be refining the look with every release.

when i try to add a credit card to the apple music store, i keep getting an error, "The Music Store could not process your request. Please try again later." i've tried 3 times now, over the past few hours, to no avail.

i think enough feedback from old iPod owners will get at least some of these features put into newer versions of the iPod software.

i just put my 5gb iPod for sale on eBay, hopefully i can still get 200 for it with all this hooplah over the new ones. (i put it for sale so i could get that 15gb one :) )

thanks for the input guys. i'm trying to snag one for around 600 - i don't need the latest and greatest, just a decent iBook to travel with me. if anyone sees anything, let me know. ;)

a 600mhz ibook, used for 1200? geez, you gotta be kidding me. the NEW ones are only 1300, and thats with more video ram and a bigger HD. you sure you're thinking of the iBook? i'm thinking more like 650 or so.

the ones i have seen so far just have the cd-rom/dvd rom drive, 15gb hard drives, and the stock 128mb ram. how much do you guys think i should consider paying before i say "thanks, but no thanks." i don't have much experience w/ laptops purchasing, so i don't really know how much they lose...

is there a nice iPod car mounting kit out there to compliment the iTrip? i'm going to order this i think - but i don't want my iPod sliding around the car, or some cheapo way to hold it in place.

IF they end up doing that, it'd be a godsend. i'm in the same boat as you, i want to get a studio display with my next mac purchase in the fall.... but dont want to spend for the 20".

if i were you, i'd hang on until later this year... that's what im doing. i'm going to sell my 17" iMac and pay the diff towards the new powermacs, which hopefully will have the new 970s and a pretty big speed bump.
