My G4 only has one system on it and the option key works on that and only presents me with one boot option, the only bootable drive.

What do you mean by that? What kind of problems? I card hasn't been performing as well with games lately and you would think it would, also since the update to panther, I haven't been able to select any higher resolution than 1024x768.

I re-installed the OS (erased the drive first) like "bobw" had mentioned and everything seems to be working fine for almost a week now. I almost have all my other stuff installed and still everything is working fine. I would highly recomend a re-install on a new machine with problems...

Actually it's a USB 2.0 port on my dad's dual 1.8 G5. When I look at a USB 2.0 cable and a USB 1.0 cable, they look identical, same number of pins, same material and obviously same connector. Thanks for all the help, but I really do believe after doing some testing that it's just a marketing...

I just bought a Canon i960 photo printer and it has USB 1.1 and 2.0 ports, but doesn't come with any USB cable. Here's my question: Is there really a difference in the cable itself? Because I have a bunch of USB cables lying around and I don't want to have to buy a new cable if it's not necessary.

I had said this before in another thread and I'll say it again: The graphic drivers in OS X do not take full advantage for the graphics card, my GeForce 4 Ti 4600 runs like a GeForce 2 MX does on a PC.

Thanks for the advice, but what about mail that I have already downloaded? There was an important message that I needed, so I ssh'd into my Mac and vi'd the "INBOX.mbox" file and performed a find, but this is just too awful of a way to read my email. There must be an easier way or some kind of...

I primarily use the GUI Mail.app when home, but want to be able to check it from work through an ssh connection. Can mutt allow me to do this?
