Try a printer test page incase it's a lack of ink on one of the colours. Different printers have different ways to do this so if ya got the manual look up test print

Give virtue (freeware) a spin drive, makes many desktops for fast switching between apps and the finder desktop, might make you enjoy OSX more ;)

Not sure how or why this is happening, but Safari always asks me if I want to save log in details, then autofills for me when I go back to a site

Is the DVI connection have both RCA and the round SOUT? I'd try the RCA connection and guessing the Plasma TV would probably have about half a dozen or more input menu's, go through all the menus on the TV, each time I'd stall at each menu for about 30 seconds and see if the Mac screen comes up...
