3ghz G5's anyone??

How does this look, or for something a bit more complex (although not free!), this. I have no experience with either, just did a quick search on versiontracker.com.

Have you tried creating a new user account? Log into a new account and see if your problems persist.

For those of you that want the speediness of dashboard, but not the icon in the dock, was there not a HOWTO in this forum for removing dock icons of running apps.? Found it here. Would that work?

Ever since upgrading my iBook G4 1.2 14" to 10.4.1 I have had three kernal panics, all when opening the lid from sleep. Previous to this I haven't had any with any version of OSX. I'm hoping 10.4.2 sorts it out.

It will be a part of iTunes 4.9, which is yet to be released.

If you don't fancy deleting any preference files you can just move them, to your desktop for example, and new ones will be created. If anything goes wrong you still have the originals you can put back.

Have you tried logging in as a different user to see if the problem is just confined to your user account?

Haha, yeah. Got it from VersionTracker instead and installed just fine.

Tiger runs just fine on my G3 600mhz iMac with 768mb RAM so I don't think you'll have any problems.

I am having trouble with isync too. I am getting this error: Any ideas? I have tried re-registering, and searched the Apple Discussions but no luck yet :(

It's instant for me, as in I type and things start to appear as soon as I have pressed the keys. And thats on an iMac G3 :)

Thanks for this. I read this hint elsewhere and could not get it to work. It didn't mention changing the port to 5222. I did that and now it works great :)
