i dunno but i wouldnt buy a cd with copy protection that meant it wont work on my mac. I have a mp3 cd player that i keep all my fav tunes on and listen to all my music on my powerbook. Its too hard to find cds that have a particular track you wnat to listen to NOW.

there is such thing as edit post!! but yes it is STRONGLY advised that you install classic before X. If you only run classic occasionaly you can run it off a cd (do a search for claasic and cd), it uses prefs from your home folder to save things like apple menu items etc... thats what i do...

i was thinking about doing much the same sort of thing before i bought my laptop. I would get to uni and realise i had left part of my assignment at home. What i did was set it to dial up when ever the phone rang and if i didnt connect to it within 5 mins it would disconnect and go back to...

no no no... i get about 3.5 to 4 hours off my battery. But it used to say the battery was getting low. It dosent give this warning anymore. I left it on battery the other day playing itunes through my sterio and it lasted 6 and a half hours.
