I just opend system profiler and my level 2 cache shows up as 512k!!!! The spec on a PowerBook Lombard 400mhz is 1mb level 2 cache... What's up with that?? Viktor

Hi folks.. I have a problem with my Powerbook lombard. A week ago it started to freeze on me all the time, I'm using os 9. So I tried every thing, I reinstalled os 9, I tried to install os x, but the same thing happend. total freeze in random places all the time. Then in os 9 I get the error...

You're not the onlyone to think the new powermacs are loud, I've heard alot of people say the same thing. Hope that apple will fix that, who whant to have something loud like that in there office?

Hi jesustoast, I'd go for the 12.1 with 32mb video ram, the video card is way better and will fully support quartz in mac os x 10.2, it will make your ibook feel alot more responsive vs the old one. The size of the little iBook is much nicer and more portable then the 14", the 14" is alot...

I hope that apple will include usb2 and firewire2 in the next uppgrade of the PowerMac, there's alot of scanners, printers etc coming out now with usb2 and they cost less then a firewire device. Viktor

Markus, are you sure that your cd-rw are able to boot from a cd? I might be wrong but I don't think all cd drives can boot up from a cd. I use a PowerBook G3 and I know that you can buy cd-rw and dvd drives to put in the drive bay and ony a few of them ar bootable. Viktor
