    Exchange Server email APPS??

I have Exchange server at work. I can tell you you that apple's mail client (which I currently use) does not connect to the exchange server natively. I use pop to connect to the mail server. I don't have direct access to the address book. You'd need the address book to be accessible via LDAP...

    OSX Blue Screen

you might want to try fsck -y :D if you get a message that the system was modified, do it again until you do not get that message. I don't know if it is overkill, but sometimes everything does not seem to be fixed on the first fsck

    iCal and holidays

actually, you'd be better off heading towards http://www.icalshare.com. They have some 400 calendars you can subscribe to. BTW>Too many calendars will make iSync very slow. Hopefully there will be a iSync new beta soon with some of the worst problems fixed.

CD burning in OSX is PATHETIC

just wanted to answer plastic without having this thread turn into a flame war. This is how much I hate macs: I have never owned *any* windows computers. Right now, there are 4 macs at home with 3 in active service at the moment (one running Yellow Dog Linux for my master's project). I...

CD burning in OSX is PATHETIC

I just burned a CD using those instructions. I'll sent it on its way monday morning and see what happens (that's the first thing I tried waaay back then). I should note, however, that most of my wife's parents are running Win98 and at work we are still using WinNT 4.0. Has anyone had any...

CD burning in OSX is PATHETIC

and yes, I mean for those to be all caps. This is the one thing that bothers me the most about OSX (yes, I am using 10.2.1). now don't go telling me to get Toast. I got Toast and I think it works great, but my mother in law, who spent what she considers a fortune on her computer. is not...

    Next iTunes update = MP4

With rendevous, you can share playlists over the network. The new version of iTunes will allow users to stream playlists from one machine to the other. That's cool as far as that goes, but Philips is also in the game. Now you are looking at things like maybe streaming your iTunes MP3s to your...

Could this be the New Mac architecture?

I think that the real sticking point is classic. It would have to be truly dead for apple to switch architectures (can anyone say Quark!). I think that once this happens, apple will have options (as steve obliquely pointed out).

Could this be the New Mac architecture?

justa question, but aren't the AMD processors really RISC chips that do "code morphing" (I think that's the marketing term) to emulate the x86 architecture.... My guess is that this would involve some sort of performance penalty. It might make sense for apple to use AMD's chips in their...

OSX drivers for Canon Fiery RIPs/ Canon CLC700 colour copier?

Just before I stopped working with those products, the web interface was totally revamped and had a fair amount of functionality (including some drag and drop stuff). You might be pleasantly surprised. If I recall, there 3 utilities, the Fiery Spooler (status, job reordering and a few other...
