I've noticed a decent increase in speed from 10.0.0 to 10.0.1 to 10.0.2. It just keeps getting faster. I read somewhere that it adds drivers for ATI graphics cards. This would improve the responsiveness of the system since it wouldn't have to use the processor for rendering as much.

Try a verbose boot(command-v at startup). Sometimes the computer seems to be just sitting there but is just doing something without telling you. I had a crash in 9 when I was running the PB that made the 9 partition unbootable. When I booted off the OS X PB partition it took about 30 minutes...

That's odd. Everything's working fine on my system. Did you restart the computer and do you have the new version of Omniweb installed? I thought that all the sprockets were discontinued in X or was that just the input sprocket? Sorry I can't offer you any more advice :(,

If you look at the iTunes compatibility list you will see that it has been updated to show burners that are compatible with Mac OS X. You can find the list here.

You might also notice that the Attach File option when posting will not except sit, dmg, gz, tgz, etc which are all used on Macs running 9 and X. The forum is great but the software needs to be improved a bit.

Just boot off the Norton Utilities 6 or System Works CD by holding C at startup. That's how I did it. Don't know about IrDA but for sound in you can use a usb mic or adapter such as the Griffin iMic. I haven't heard wether this works under X or not but you can call them and find out.

You would have to set up an extension set for classic and one for use when booted into 9. I have had no problems with the classic extensions when booted into 9 on the 2 or 3 occasions that I have rebooted since installing X.

Mail.app uses IMAP by default. It is reading the messages off of the server unless you move them to another mailbox that isn't in your Mac.com accounts mailbox.

I had to reboot into 9 to get it to update (I'm using a codec that only encodes in Classic). It will only update the Classic version not the version in OS X.

Admiral it had already been stated that the CD burning would come in one update and the DVD in another. It will be soon. Just be patient :),

I like the new design. It looks like a mini TiBook! I'm not sure if i would rather get the TiBook or the iBook with combo drive.

Search this site and you can find several discussions on the update. It speeds up the system somewhat and adds support for more USB devices and other things. btw if you can get a list of the supposed holes that would be appreciated by the Mac OS X community.

It works perfectly on mine. I have the web-server and ftp running. Check the ip shown in internet connect. It will be the one that doesn't end in .1

The button at the bottom with the 2 arrows crossing each other is random. This is the shuffling feature you were looking for. The full screen option is greyed out on mine as well. I can't comment on the fps because I run dnetc in the terminal and it takes most of the processor time.
