Good to see you got it working. Hmm, yes you do, but it is more like a dynamic mount at a fixed location. With Samba you can use smbmount, but that does not work on BSD systems. I have suggested such a feature to the makers of Sharity though and it is on there suggestions list.

I have a 8G partition with thousands of Mp3's and it shows up just fine. But there is an issue that might be the problem. It seems that if there is a file or folder with a dot, Sharity tries to filter that out. But the Finder listing function crashes on that and simply stops listing files...

You will need to turn that function on in the Apache.conf file and let users create an "public_html" directory in their home directory. All pages in their will then be viewable by going to http://www.domain.edu/~user. DJ

You have to give each share specifically write permission. And make sure the permissions of directories on the drive are right. Use User sharing and no Share in the global part. Use SWAT to edit all this. I you need more help, go to the samba manual http://samba.he.net/

You are right, didn't know that little trick before. It is double clicking by the way. To bad you cannot edit its size. Altough, there is probably a resource for this window somewhere. I'll be looking for it.

Two solutions to question 1 1: Log out and choose restart the restart button on the Login panel or 2: Keep option (alt) key pressed when opening the Special menu or hitting the startup key on your keyboard. The restart option will now appear, replacing the shutdown option.

Most programs can simply be put in the trash. They only leave a Preference file in your user area. Things like Seti@Home and Sharity however (And my Samba intstaller) put stuff in the StartupItems directory, because they are deamons. They constantly work, even when you are not logged in...

No it won't boot. You would have to alter your Firmware manually to let it look for an OSX System. Else it is going to look for an OS 9 system on the disk. That might be the solution aswell. First install OS 9 on the disk and then OSX over it. It will then first boot in OS9 and you can then...
