Oh, well I seemed to have fixed the problem. I went into the info about that scan image and told it to open in photoshop instead of nikon scan, and then quit the qtimageserver app from AM, and it didnt restart... Very strange... though it is the first time I have used nikon scan ver4, so...

I have just plugged my (rather old) epson GT 7000 USB scanner into my G4 MDD OS 10.3.7 and I noticed that there are no drivers on the epson site that support my config. so I use image capture to scan. However it seems unreliable, Im scanning some drawings and I am getting quite a lot of clipping...
