    PATA Hard drive question

Its a one cable deal, i've made sure, because i still have the old drive, and the connections look exactly the same, It would make sense if the ribbon cable was broken, but like i said, i tried it in two powerbook's just to be sure i didn't need a new hard drive ribbon. When i had my brothers...

    Odd Issue

Oh okay, excuse me, i thought you were on the laptop, and i was reading it directly out of my settings. Im going to say that the hard disks going to sleep could be the issue, but it probably only puts your disc drive to sleep, rather than your hard drive, But you should try to uncheck it, and...

The iBook G4's came with 60 gig hard drives i think, that's plenty of space for alot of people, ram is 35, leopard is 129 brand new (cheaper on...

    upgrading to 10.5.6 from 10.4.11?

Well, you should also remember, that tiger was released in 2005, and tiger in 2007, so your going to see a good performance upgrade when/if you decide to load leopard. The spinning colorwheel could be caused by alot of things. What size hard drive do you have, and whats the RPM speed?
