ANY connection for the Newton over OSX would be great! Unfortunately, my experience with programs ends with turning them on and running them.:D I guess thats why I'll always be the one buying software instead of writing it.

I was linked to a package converter that solved my problem like this. I could only get it to run in OS9 (not classic) but I guess it's a small price to pay. E-maiul me and I'll send it along

I converted a document that I already had in Appleworks to RTF, and Newton Press converted it and made a book. I just had to go in and set my page breaks afterwods to have it make sense. Of course, NP had to convert the font over to one of its own, but the document ended up looking pretty good...

It's amazing that something that hasn't been built or officially supported for five years still holds so much useability, and is still leading edge technology in an industry that grows and develops as fast as the computer industry does.

dogcow- I took your advice and got an ethernet card on ebay (a 3com). I guess if I'm going to get into this I might as well go in with both feet!:D

thats true about the upgraded systems. my only question was in reguards to the difference in price at auction. Thanks for the info. I just received it today (not exactly what I ordered) but I'm amazed at just how cool it is. Unfortunately, the serial adapter that connects to the Newton aint there, so I had to find one on e-bay today and hopefully by next week I can install and try some of the programs...

I like the fact that mail shows how many e-mails I have recieved, but if I'm waiting for a specific message, bouncing out of the program I'm useing to see if the one I received is the one I'm waiting for is kind of a hassle. Is there a way to have a program not only show the fact that mail has...
