Apple mics have a built in amp inside the mic itself, that's why a normal plug won't work because regular mics don't have amps built in. I would guess that if you had another brand mic with built in amps it should work, although I've never tried it. kafene.

You're right. Someone showed me how to select "Cable Select" on the older drive. I got memory and opened up the door and re-did the settings on the drive and that seemed to work. I'm pretty sure it was just the drive settings, though. Damn.. what would I do w/o u guys? ::love:: kafene.
