when i tried it.. after about 6 cd's of mp3's.. it didn't load or catalog all the mp3's. for example, in my "beatles" folder, although there are about 6-7 albums, it only cataloged 1 album and didn't do the others. kafene

i'm looking for an osx native app that i can use to keep track of my mp3's and the cd's they are on. i guess i can use disktracker, but it's not carbonized (at least the version i have). kafene.

tried that, but still no go... i was able to just click and hold the file and drag it to the desktop. i decompressed it from there and it worked fine. i guess that will be my workaround for now :rolleyes: kafene

i get these attachments like files and such, but when i click on the 'link' in my e-mail, i see stuffit decompressing them... and then... nothing?:confused: where are these files GOING?! i tried a search and nothing came up.... i don't get it. it's gotta be saved somewhere, shouldn't it...

yeah, that does seem kind of pointless. i don't even know if ps7 is even out, here in the states. i thought it was out already from checking out the apple site, but i've only seen the beta, which i've been using w/o any problems in osx. kafene

and just out of curiousity, why are you using ps6 beta to see if you want to buy ps7? wouldn't you rather want to use ps7 beta? kafene

when i had my email set-up as pop, it was able to retrieve my mail, but i was never able to send... when i set it to imap, i could now recieve & send. maybe it's just me though????:confused: kafene

i have a logitec usb camera for a pc. would i be able to use that on my mac? i have a g4 450. is it just a matter of getting the correct software? because i don't think they have the drivers for a mac. kafene.

this was the first mac i ever had. it must be about 10 years old, but the thing still works. i don't even know the speed of it, but i believe it's got 2 or 4 megs of RAM. is there anything i can do w/ it to make it useful? it's just being used to hold up one of the corners of the house...

how do i deal w/ .rar or .r files that i download... what kind of software do i need to combine these downloads? thanks. kafene.

just like in os9 and before? 'simple' is the operative word here :D i'm a "hooked on phonics" kind of guy. i would love you mess around in the terminal, but the fear of screwing something up keeps me from doing anything..hmm there's got to be a book out there for better use of the terminal...

i don't have the severe case you have, but some of my apps will just up and quit w/ an "unexpected error" (in which case, when are then ever EXPECTED?:rolleyes: ) it was the newsreader 'toth'. it happened after i updated to 10.1.3:mad:

and i think i'm kinda getting used to it. small, tiny movements are not as good as the mouse, but since i have both hooked up, i guess it's really not much of an issue any more. i am enjoying it though :D , but not quite yet able to zoom around like i used to w/ the mouse. good to hear that...

i'm pretty sure that works, too because my other zip is formatted mac. the reason i always have a pc formatted zip is because i can use it on pc's at school. i don't think pc's can recognize mac formatted zips very well. kafene.
