    iMac Intel Core Duo

And well it has gone! I have tested practically everything: bluethooth, ethernet, dvd, front row, isight, mighty mouse, the ports, etc. All works as it is intended to be. The machine is also insanely fast and everything moves fluidly. I'm taking it to 2GB of ram soon. I'm also really liking the...

Not at all what I expected.

iTunes is an mp3 player, so logically if you insert a CD it will offer you the option to convert the CD to mp3 so that you can have it on your library and then copy it to your iPod (for example). You can change what iTunes does when a CD is inserted in it's preferences. Hmm, I fail to see...

    Importing several folders into iPhoto

Not at all what I expected.

No, it does not has to be one by one, just choose a window and then show view options, check "Show Icon Preview" and on the top you will see "This Window Only" and "All Windows", choose all windows and you are set. Ah, you may want to try to turn off magnification and icon animation, to see if that solves the problem. What is your setup?

Not at all what I expected.

Well since I use Adobe CS 2, I view all my images in Bridge. I agree with your comment tho about the Finder lacking image thumbnails. One thing you could do is to do a Spotlight search for the folder or files you are looking for and the results window will have image thumbnails.

    Horrors of the Dock

You should check to see if your screen is not resized in such a way that the bottom of the screen is further down from the visible area, which is as far down as the mouse pointer can go. If that is the case, then the dock will never come up from auto-hide when you move the pointer down.

    iMac Intel Core Duo

Well, the iMac is brand new, he only opened it to run Software update on it and it all went fine, everything seems to work fine. What I wanted to know was those wide spread issues you mentioned. Yet, I have owned three iMacs (the first 233 G3, the G4 400 DVD and the G4 800 15") and they all...

    iMac Intel Core Duo

It is the 20" model with 1GB of RAM and 2.16GHz and he is seeling it at around 1,000. I plan to upgrade it to 2 GB of RAM once I get it.
