Ya, I'm with you ! I agree it should be far better if all good UNIX, LINUX apps are ported to cocoa ! However, Linux uses X11, and a rootless X11 is a way to have all Linux stuff to work on Mac OS X (with a Linux emulation (wrapper Linux/BSD)) If this works, all that is Linux can works...

That is a really good advance, but the true revolution and optimisation is : a XWindow wrapper to Quartz calls (buffering, hardware optimization, OpenGL, etc...) When a XWindow Window has to be opened, it should be a real Quartz window, not a WindowManager under XWindow... All graphics...

Hobeaux, I had a problem with OmniWeb beta 4. I weren't able to launch it, I had the startup splash screen, then nothing. I had reinstalled MacOS X PB and POOF, all worked !! I think your PB install is corrupted, moreover it's not normal than you can't move anything to the Application...

Worked for me, with the PB...

MOSR, AppleInsider and ThinkSecret are not focusing on processors news theses times. Apple has launched 733 G4 PowerMacs, and it is a good move, but is is only 233 MHz + in more than a year !! Motorola research team rocks since G4 is a better µP than any Pentium or AMD, but Moto production...

DivX sucks since it is implemented on the non-standard Micro$oft MPEG-4 implementation. 3ivX is a great move since it is based on the standard ISO MPEG-4... Moreover, results of 3ivX are already very good, and 3ivX is fully QuickTime compatible !

It is not easy, and it is the price to pay when we are looking for 'hacked and illegal internal builds'. Just be patient, check servers, talk to users... I hope you have a good connection speed... Good luck !

Where did you notice the Dock was repositionable ? In the 4K60 screenshot it is in the center, at the bottom... As usual.

I am living in Québec, and I have just called the AppleStore to preorder MacOS X. I had the choice between French version OR English version... These two languages are not together in one final version... Interesting... Maybe they doesn't have sufficient space to put all basic languages in...
