I'm not up to speed with setting up cron jobs etc. Just wondering tho, do both these solutions (ARD and Cron) involve downloading the same updates from Apple to each individual machine therefore not alleviating the repeated downloads of the same file?

Hi Everyone, I am in a workplace with 40+ Macs (varying in OS and set up). I don't like downloading the software updates on every single machine individually as it uses up valuable bandwidth and time. Is there any way to easily locate the required updates for each group of similar machines...

Hate to say it but I'm having similar issues. I'm using 10.3 still and the clients recognise the startup but will not boot from it! :( Was hoping the new version would solve this but maybe not....help????

It does not get an error as such but just hangs in verfication when using finder and does not begin burning in iTunes (the drive just whirs up then back down continually). Toast just worked again but I find it unreliable at the best of times!

What is the quickest/safest/cleanest way to "uninstall" apps such as mail, safari etc? Can you keep settings like bookmarks/mail boxes etc and replace them in the clean installs?

I have experienced the same problem with FMaker 6.0.1 and 6.0.4. It is currently occurring on 2 macs within the office. I have performed all the usual maintenance/checks to no avail. I have also trial and errored different things in FMaker like deleting certain relationships/layouts etc...
