Just a quick update: The problem for me was my PCI USB 2.0 card, which was a really bad brand that didn't support Mac OSX very well. So I just brought a new one and my Powermac was fine since. Good luck if you have problems like this.

I do have stuffit, but I do not think that is the problem. I cannot find logs on when the problems occurred, maybe you can help with this. This Powermac has just been bad luck, I had freezing, kernel panics, this, and there is a huge line through the Cinema Display.

I wouldn't recommend emulators, I spent about 6 hours installing XP on my G4 to find that there was an activation error.

Try getting a copy of Ubuntu that works on PPC (I downloaded one, and got it going on my iBook), mount the hard drive, and try and get your files. Then either re-install Mac OSX, or get a new Mac.

I unplugged the USB microphone, and no different. I was looking around again, and I found a Apple kb article that says that Mac OSX 10.4 has a problem with USB mass storage devices in USB PCI cards that don't support sleep. So I've tried unplugging it and I will see how things go. - Jordan
