SOLVED see below I have a separate Mac keyboard with no Fn key. Mine does have keys f1 through f16. Sometimes instructions say to press Fn then to press another key. What can I press on my keyboard instead of the Fn key?

THANKS FOR REPLY Sorry that did not do it. Still have those un-deleted items. Strangle the clicking sound that indicates operation completed on my Mac sounds indicating TRASH was emptied. IS THERE A WAY TO USE TERMINAL TO ZAP THESE?

Trash It deleted almost all of my trash. There are about 8 files that look like Windows 7 files that I haven't been able to delete. Suggestions TRASH It is never the less a wonderful little app!.

SOLVED seems NTFS app fixed the problem. Surprised because the drive was FAT not NTFS I have an external disk CALLED "IDE" connected to OSX 10.6.7 that is locked. It has important files on it which I can read. Thus I do not wish to reformat it. I wish to unlock it & everything on the disk...

That sounds like a plan. I think that will remove all my plugins and addons. As I said, I will then have to slowly add them back & test. Let you know how it goes.
