Thanks for suggestions. I just ordered up some replacement install DVD's from Apple. ($17). So I'll have patience and try that once they arrive. I'll play with the Target mode and see what I get.

Hey guys/gals, I have a white Macbook circa 2009 (Core2Duo I believe, 4GB Ram) that was running OS X 10.6.2. Not completely sure this is the exact rev but it was 10.6 for sure (installed by Apple after a failed HD. Was running older rev before this) Anyway, the poor thing won't boot up...
