Using existing database from another program

Ya, unfortunately it won't be a program anyone here would know. It's a program only released to a select few. Is there a way to figure out what kind of database it is?

Found the Perfect HandBrake settings for AppleTV

My friend just got an iPod and he was asking me how to rip with handbrake so I told him these settings. He had this same issue and it took me a bit to figure out why but I have a theory why. He was using the PC version of handbrake but I have the mac version. We both ripped the same movies with...

    Leopard Multi-processing question

In Snow leopard, they say that its suppose to handle multiple processors much more efficiently. The articles usually concentrate on 4 or 8 cores though. My question is would it be much of an improvement for someone who has a new MacBook Pro which only has two processors? Addition: I also...

Computer Not getting to the internet

So, is there a way to test my theory which is that it has (for some odd reason) bad routing tables? Because that's my only idea how it's possible that it can only be able to see devices within the 192.168.3.x subnet.

Computer Not getting to the internet

the dns servers are assigned by DHCP. I can't get rid of DNS servers anyways cuz it's greyed out. It's not DNS though cuz that doesn't explain why I can't ping an ip address

Computer Not getting to the internet

Computer Not getting to the internet

nope, the ip address he gets is in the same subnet. 192.168.3.40 255.255.255.0 192.168.3.254 (gateway) All of the other computers and devices on the network work just fine. Strange, isn't it?

Both the non functional and the functional computer is setup to be DHCP. I removed the ethernet connection in network settings and readded it but still doesn't work. Another thing that makes me wonder is that the non functioning computer is getting its IP address surprisingly quickly after I...

Boot camp only sees 3GB of ram

But if it was dependent on Windows XP to see all 4GB, then has the capability because like I said before, at work there are quite a few computers that have 4GB of ram and windows XP x86 sees it all. Vista may see 4GB of ram, but that doesn't convince me at all to even think of switching to Vista :P

Boot camp only sees 3GB of ram

Fair enough. Ya, the reason I say that is because at one of the offices I administrate, all their desktop computers have XP 32bit and run with 4GB of ram. I hope apple will improve that limitation

Boot camp only sees 3GB of ram

I don't mean to contradict you, but I'm positive that 4GB is. Unless 3GB is the limitation in bootcamp
