Driver has never been able to run in Classic. I've tried since the first Public Beta. Nada. Zilch. Zero.
You have to reboot into OS9 itself to play it.
The root level of your drive is the very top level of the hierarchy.
In the Terminal, it's /.
In the Finder, it's what you see when you double-click your hard drive icon. The System, Users, and Applications folders are under the root directory.
That close, btoneill, but not quite correct.
The black and white cursor is what a poorly written Carbon app will give you when it's stuck in the main event loop. This is given by the app itself, signifying that it is still responsive, but is written to not allow you do do anything while its...
Haxial's NetFone works beautifully (though the interface is ugly) and is cross platform to OSX, OS9, and Windows.
You can find it at versiontracker or haxial.com.
It is free. Well, shareware, but no features are disabled.
Plus, the cmd-[ and cmd-] as primary navigation keys really piss me off.
It's a shame these lovely americans don't give a damn about international users. Try those key combos on a swiss keyboard. I think it's just as bad for the german keyboards too.
Well, I'm a fast typer. So, the text box doesn't keep up with me and it *appears* to be awfully slow. Even as I am typing this post, the text is lagging a few words behind me. I have never experienced a problem like this in *any* app other than the Mozilla spawns.
Last I heard, it would be...
The print button has been there for months.
Entering text in large text boxes is still dog slow.
CSS rollover changes (like on this site) are still dog slow -- strange how the "real" Mozilla doesn't have this problem.
You want the Jaguar desktops?
Look no farther.

I thought I posted this here already.
Oh well, "you're welcome" in advance.
Ah, my apologies. I haven't been following that MacNN thread. The icon is the menu to bring up the Character Palette.
:( *sigh* You just don't get it, do you? Without rules like the interface guidelines, we would be stuck with a hideously haphazard operating system where different apps have...
Quit the Finder, open your com.apple.finder.plist file, and add this to the toolbar-items array:
item-id

edit: damnit, it thinks my tags are HTML. oh well, just change the ]['s to ><'s

Click the "Buy Now" button. :)
The update disc you got was to update 10.0 to 10.1. If you want to buy 10.1 itself, you should be able to get a boxed copy at most Apple-supporting retailers. You can also buy it from Apple.com/store and a bazillion other online...
Apple started using Myriad as the font for the eMac name. They've been using it for lots of stuff since then.
Consider it a minor corporate rebranding.
Go to the Network System Prefs pane, click the PPPoE tab, and click the Options button. Uncheck "Connect automatically if needed" and you should be set.
Let me know if that still doesn't help.
Third party programs? Don't be daft!
Use use the Terminal to change my system like any good Unix man would. :D
Honestly, I wouldn't trust those "theme" programs any further than I could throw them. And, seeing as they aren't tangible objects, I can't throw them at all. Get my drift...
Yes, the faded icons are hidden apps.
Yes, the theme is brushed; however, it is not working in Jaguar yet. I had to convert it myself and hack and add a bunch of resources to get it to work. Don't expect a public version of the Jaguar theme for another couple of weeks. ;)
The app in the...
