Im unsure as whether this would be a hardware or software issue, but I have a problem with my G4 Powerbook, in that when I first turn it on the is no 'whirring' of the fan, and no 'bong' sound, the computer just stays on the white screen with the grey apple on it and the little grey timer thing...

photoshop seems to be running a little slow - it shouldnt really, Ive got a new G5. Is there a way of allocating more memory to photoshop to improve its performance and cut down on waiting times? gaz
