I waited for all the thumbnails to draw up in a folder and I figured they would be in cache so I wouldn't have to do it again, but upon rebooting the machine they are all gone. This is retarded, I expected so much more for what is supposedly a multimedia geared OS.
I have an external drive with 2 partitions, one fat32 and one NTFS. I plug in the drive and nothing happens. If I wait about 5 minutes, it mounts one partition, and in the disk utility it says they are both monted, but only one shows up. If I reboot with the drive connected, they both show up...
My Seiko is having some problems, it ticks 2 seconds (one, two, pause, one, two, pause, etc.) at a time now. And it doesn't "remember" the time when I "re-wind" it. Do you think the capacitor has gone bad?
I have used wine in Linux. It doesn't work with alot of apps, but some apps work perfectly. Crossover is much more polished than Wine. Wine installs a whole fake Windows directory, with "program files" "drive:c" "windows" etc, so I imagine what they mean by running regedit would be an .exe...
I have jpegs associated with the program "xee". Before I had them associated with "preview", but I still had the same problem. I got this computer second hand, so I'm not sure what the default program is to open jpegs. I needed something i could use to switch quickly between photos so I chose...
I mean thumbnails when I open the folder. When I click on it, I do get a preview, but when I'm trying to locate a file in a folder with 100 photos, it's not practical to search by clicking on each one.
Thanks for the suggestion, but it requires Tiger. I just want to view thumbs in the Finder, like when I upload photos to ebay or whatever. I don't want to have to open another app to do a simple task. I'm just curious how an OS that touts it self as being the leader in "pictures, video, you know...
You know for an OS that is supposedly so good for multimedia, why can't it show image thumbnails? Yeah it can show about a dozen, but any folder with more than that just doesn't display all the thumbnails. They just don't show up. It's like it takes so much resources just to draw up the...
I can't seem to get it to work. I did a reset by holding down the reset button for 30 seconds, and I can get it to show up as "Home", but I keep getting password errors. I searched around and the defualt password is "public", but it just isn't working. Does anyone have any tips? I'm currently...
Where is Sanford and Son and All in the Family? I voted Seinfeld, it's one of the best shows ever. Friends is probably the worst, it makes me want to vomit.
I sell something on ebay every once in a while, maybe 3 times a year. I have this ancient camera I was going to toss out, but for kicks I thought I would put it on ebay to see what I could get for it. It sold for $1.00, and the total with shipping was just under $15. Well the guy paid with a...
I have a Seiko, one of the kinetic ones where it winds as you walk. I can leave it sitting for 2 years, shake it up and it sets itself back to perfect time (I never wear it). I have always been perplexed by this, it blows me away how it can know the time. I swear it even compensates for daylight...
I'm looking for a free photo viewer with next and previous buttons so I can look through a folder. It sounds like a simple request, but I haven't been able to find one. I just want something simple, I hate iphoto. Right now photos open with "Preview". I find it hard to believe there is not a...
I just got an old iMac with OS 9.2.2 on it. There is no software on it right now, I'd like to find some sites with freeware apps for Classic. Anyone have any links? Thanks!
