    classic without installing 9.2.2 ?

    the files you mentioned are installed on every new mac. they represent a user interface to do a system restore from the Apple Software Restore cd's. It isn't a Mac OS; just a fake OS interface with Boot ROM.

    try deleting prefs for idisk (or appleshare or so) in Libary/Preferences. or do a reinstall of the OS :S ...

    Mac OS X 10.2 (6C48) on iMac G4/800 SD

    Does anybody know why it doesn't work? I got a kernel panic (something like: "PowerMac4,2) not a supported model) just after installing & restarting 10.2. Anybody tips? Anybody got his iMac G4 running with OSX 10.2? peace p.s. the build that consists of a 650 and a 80 megabyte disk image
