10.3.5 Strikes Back!

When I upgraded to 10.3.5 recently, I noticed that I can no longer launch iTunes or Safari. I've tried deleting the preferences for both (~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iTunes[Safari].plist) and still no luck.

iTunes looks like it's starting; the icon has the arrow below it and it just sits there. Unexpectedly quits.

Safari bounces for a long time and then just dissapears.

Any ideas?

You probably already repaired the disk permissions (using the Disk Utility), don't you ?

I had that problem a while ago and I ended up having to do a clean install. Sucks.
