10.3.6 and EZQuest firewire drive

I have a EZQuest Cobra+ firewire drive connected to a 450 MHz PowerPC G4 running OS X version 10.3.6. The drive was fine until I upgraded to 10.3.6. Now it won't mount.

EZQuest says: "There have been several reports about issues with 10.3.6. The issues vary where some customer's are not able to mount the drives or getting messages where the system sees the device but it asks to initialize it. The Only suggestion at this point will be to try to connect it to another
system running 10.3.5 or an older OS use Disc Doctor or Disc Warrior to see if the directory can be repaired."

Apple says "the drive is fine but the manufacturer needs to provide a new firewire driver."

I've tried to see the drive in Disk Utility and Disk Warrior. I've reinstalled 10.3.3 on an iBook and it doesn't appear.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
