802.11g repeater - what do you recommend?

I am in the market for an 802.11g repeater (aka extender). I have not seen any worthwhile hardware out there. The only thing that I have seen is a system that uses the house's electrical wiring to pass on the signal to a receiver which in turn converts that to a wifi signal (device made by netgear)

Any ideas ?

I am useing the Linksys wireless range expander, and have been very impressed with the range it pushes, not sure of the electrical use on passing on the WiFi

Some get the AirPort Express Base Station (AX) to extend the signals of non-Apple wireless routers successfully. But, beware the AX is a neat, but very tempermental, little beast.

They like to take siestas, and it can be very tedious to get them back to work. I use my AX to join our Linksys network to stream iTunes to a sound system. I have to fiddle a great deal with both the AirPort Setup Assistant and the AirPort Admin utility to get my AX back on the job, and it takes very frequent siestas.
