Accessing an OSX server drive...

My brother is on a network where he is accessing an OS X server with different drives. He can access one drive, but on another drive or partition (I forgot which), they can see the drive but can't move files in or out of the drive.

Another thing....when trying to log onto the server, the Finder quites out. He says he's got the latest OS 9.2 update.

Any suggestions to try out?

Can he move files on the normal HD on the server? That sounds like a permissions thing to me, he can see them but can;t move or edit them.
As for finder quiting, I have no idea.

it's actually when he's trying to access the drive on the OS X server from a PC. It's running on XP. I thought it was the permissions also... I guess I'll have to go and check it out :-/
