I would love to have an Apple GPS unit that could communicate location to nearby iPhones and MacBooks, via bluetooth. The GPS would need no user interface of its own. Leave all the software to the iPhone and Macbook, the sole purpose of the GPS would be to tell the nearby iPhones and MacBooks where they are. The Apple GPS would need to be able to draw power from an automobile.
 
looks like a pretty good combination, but the SiRF Star III doesn't appear to be able to draw power from the car "cigarette lighter", which would be nice
