Avatar???

Why can't I add an avatar in my profile?
The only option I got is:
Do not use an avatar

The radiobutton is checked and I can't uncheck it.

Yep, I get the same thing. And of course, I deleted my avatar to see if that would provide new options, now I have no avatar at all =)

Are we going to be able to use avatars that are more than 5x5 pixels??
 
Yea, same thing going on with everyone. Looks like avatars won't be in for a while. I'll talk to admin and see if he can look into this today sometime.
 
I thought you guys got rid of the 50x50 av limit? I swear I saw ed mention this in another thread, but I haven't been able to find it again...
 
You can set your Profile image to 100x100, but avatars are still at 50x50.

Don't worry, I'm fighting it though! :D

Especially with all the new upgrades, don't Scott et al have a little bit of power to spare?

Funny, mine's actually 50 by, oh, 40-something. ;)

In all seriousness, though, I too would like an increase in the maximum avatar size. I think 64x64 or 80x80 would be just fine. This site is quite good in most other respects, but the avatar size thing feels like we're being held back a bit. (Not, a lot... but a bit.)
 
Could you at least give a reason? I can live with your decision quite fine, but I'd at least like to know why.
