Im using Quicktime 6.5.2 but Avi movies don't play, is there an AVI plug in?

MisterMe's suggestion will work, though for avi files, I recommend you use VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/). Its will play almost any movie file without extra codecs, and its free!
