Bypassing the firewall

Hello guys, a newbie here on the site!

I'm just wondering, can i bypass my office's IP firewall? i'm currently running on OS X 10.3.8, and i can ping the server, but i wasn't able to run aMule because of the firewall. Any tips will be greatl appreciated. Thanks a lot!
 
If they have it setup right, the answer is no. I would warn you that running such applications, especially if they are blocked by a FW could get your fired. I don't sharing files is worth that.
 
Do you have a home computer? If so, perhaps you could run the program at home where it won't get you in trouble, and use ssh/sftp to get to files as you need them.
