Can the Combo drive at least Play DVD-R's

I haven't had the chance to try it out yet. And I don't have any DVD-R discs. I know the combo drive can play and not burn DVD's. But can it at least play DVD-R's? Or DVD-RW's?

I'd guess so, as these should be playable in all DVD players...Combo drive is just a DVD-ROM with a CD-burner built in...

Burnt dvds work on my ibooks combo drive.

Yes. It plays back DVD-Rs.

Most Combo drives out there (not only for Macs) play DVD-R discs just fine!

While you may find some DVD-R discs that aren't readable by a Combo drive, those will be mostly unknown brands or something
