I recently had to learn that "compatible" does in fact not mean what one might guess....
I have a digital camera, a D30 to be exact that I use quite a lot. To streamline my workflow, I bought a PowerMac G4/933. I wanted to use iPhoto to import my pictures, my camera model was on the list of supported devices. Well, that's not entirely true: I use Canon's RAW format (non-lossy) all of the time, but iPhoto cannot import it (unknown file format). Both Canon and Apple have been absolutely non-responsive about this matter, which IMHO is no way dealing with "valued customers".
Any ideas? Alternatives? I don't want to use the Classic environment, so only OSX suggestions, please!
