Can't connect to internet via ethernet

I'm using a dual 800 G4, running OSX 10.3.9. I am connected to a router/gateway that is connected to a cable modem. I can connect my pc desktop, pc laptop wirelessly and via ethernet and my powerbook wirelessly and via ethernet using the router. I can not for the life of me get the G4 to work. All of my TCP/IP settings are correct and there are no conflicting IP addresses. The Network Settings dialog shows that I'm connected to the router, shows me the IP address I've been assigned and has the green light, but I can't connect to the internet. I went into the "activate connections" dialog and made sure "ethernet" was checked and set as the primary (and actually only) connection. I can see the network and access different computers. I can ping all the computers on my network from the G4 and I can ping the G4 from other computers and the router. Any ideas? I'm starting to go crazy.

Thanks!

Chris

i have that prob. sometimes where my browsers wont connect or Im clients. i just restart and usually it'll work. have you tried that?

Yeah, I've restarted many many times. Particularly after each change of settings that may call for a restart to make sure they register. Still not working.

Have you selected Built-in Ethernet as your connection method and configued IPv4 using DHCP within the Network Preference pane?

I have selected it as my connection method. At least I think I have. I checked it in "activate connections" and it's set as the top/primary connection. I don't see an ethernet option in "Internet Connect" control panel.
I have configured DHCP accurately, although I'm unfamiliear with IPv6. I've clicked on the configure for IPv6 and seen two long (I think either 32 or 64 character) codes in the only two dialog boxes that appear. I figured that if they were filled in they must be right. Am I wrong about that? I hope so!

Thanks!

Chris

All my networking issues with my dual 800 went away when I upgraded to Mac OSX 10.4.3. I know it just wasn't OSX 10.3.9 because my powerbook is on that OS and networks fine. It must be some incompatibility between my dual 800 and the OS. Now it all works perfectly. Internet and networking in a mixed mac/PC environment.
