Change text above app name on dock

When I hover my cursor above an app on the dock a text block appears stating the name of the app. So when I hover over the Terminal app on my dock the text appears saying "Terminal". Is there a way to change the text that appears when hovering?

You could make an alias of the application, rename the alias, and then drag that to the Dock instead of the original app.
