Changing AD Passwort fils // Credentials

Hi everybody,

i just binded 3 MacBook Pro's (OsX 10.6) onto our AD (SBS08) without any problem. The login / verification is very slow but works.

My problem is: The user can't change his password through the user settings panel. We have some credentials like a minimum of 8 chars, a symbol, numbers and case-sensitivity.
The new password matches the credentials…

What can i do?

What is a "user settings panel"?
Do you mean System Preferences/Accounts pane? or something else?
Is the password for the account, or is it the AD login password? You would likely need to change an AD password through AD.
Does the user have admin privileges?


What is the exact error message that returns when trying to change the password?

What shows in the logs? (Mac OS X side and server side)
