computer restarting strangeness

I just got this eMac 3 days ago, but I have noticed this problem at least 3 times now. One night, I put the computer on sleep and when I woke up the next morning it was completely off. Same day, I left for work and turned the computer off, I got home and it was sleeping. I've also left the computer totally on for a while, and come back to find it totally off.

This is kinda weird, my roommates haven't touched it, so I don't know what it could be. Any ideas?

I'm using 10.1.5.

Hmm, maybe I am not worthless after all....
I have the distinct feeling that you need to go into date & time, I am not sure what OS you have, and find the start and shut down feature. I had fun with this as I would get off work at 3 in the morning and tell the computer to start up at 3:30 when I was close to home and shut down at 3:30pm when I had to get ready to go to work. If it seems to do the same thing every day at the same time, I am more than willing to bet it's the automated start and shut down feature.
