Converting and/or burning WMA's

A friend of mine sent me a bunch of music in WMA format.

I downloaded Windows Media Player, so I can play them, but I can't really use them at all.

I really would love to get this music out of this horrid excuse for a sound format... is there anything on the Mac for converting wma to mp3? Or is there something that at least burns wma files to a music cd?

i can't really help you, but i know the wma codec is only available in OS 9. divx doctor can convert a divx file with wma encoded audio into a .mov with QT sound, so it's certainly possible. i'll keep an eye out for you.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news,

There isn't any program that can convert Windows Media Audio files to Audio AIFF. Not even Discreet Cleaner 5 can convert them.
The only hope is that there might be, might be a shareware or freeware program that can do it for you, but I haven't heard of any.

Hope it helps.
