dual boot osx and os9 from separate internal disks

Would it be advisable to create a dual boot environment of osx and os9 by installing each one on a separate hard disk set up as master and slave, then select the boot up disk by pressing the "Option" key during startup? Would this corrupt the PRAM or system integrity of either os in the long run? Or any other problem I'm not aware of? Thanks.
